Re: WOC 2018 Lots of fun!

Sorry I missed you! I had to take off at noon on Sunday for a business trip.

Saturday was definitely the busier of the two days. There's a great writeup here from Greg Nacu:

Re: WOC 2016.. Discuss

I am seriously considering coming to this show. I don't know if I'll have anything to demo, and can't make any promises that I'll even make it, but I am definitely considering it. I'm curious to know what people will be demoing. I feel like I've missed a lot in the last 10 years or so. Perhaps peop...

Re: What to do about the TPUG storage locker?

OK, here's the update. We don't have any working systems to sell, sorry. We have a huge pile of mostly untested parts that might be of interest: http://www.tpug.ca/inventory/ There are also several boxes of software and manuals that we are giving everyone first pick over at the June meeting, the res...

Re: What to do about the TPUG storage locker?

So at the AGM there was a (unanimous?) decision to get the locker cleared out ASAP, targeting end of May. Due to weather and other commitments we won't meet that, but I'm currently putting together a plan to deal with it. Stay tuned.

Re: replacement EPROMS for auxilary sockets in 8296

Check out Nicolas Welte's EPROM adaptors, they let you use the newer EPROMS in Commodore sockets. http://vic-20.de/x1541/hardware/ Also, Jim Brain sells his "ROM-el" flash chips that can be used in place of the older ROMs, they're pin-compatible. http://store.go4retro.com/rom-el-2364-flash-rom-repla...

Re: What to do about the TPUG storage locker?

I predict this is going to be a hot topic at the AGM this week. The official numbers will be presented Thursday, but it's rather alarming to me just how expensive it's become (I admit it snuck up on me). It is by far TPUG's biggest expense, and World of Commodore doesn't even cover it so we're losin...

Re: WTB commodore 64 PAL system

You're probably best off looking on eBay to get one from overseas, shipping might be expensive though.
