Hardware Needs for WoC

Post by Golan Klinger » Tue Oct 27, 2009 11:03 pm

If you have a specific hardware requirement for WoC (monitors, powerbars etc.) please let us know so we can accommodate you.

Thanks in advance.
Are you keeping up with Commodore?

A projector, obviously, but that should be easy. The hotel might even provide one (we should find out). I can sign one out from work if really needed. I'll also bring my C64 to S-Video cable.

Does the hotel have a sound system? If not, Rob might be able to bring his. John also said we could probably borrow the one from Alderwood. I'll bring my mini-mixer.

Hi Leif,

For a projector I would recommend you borrow one from someone that you know. Hotels charge an outrageous amount of dollars for renting equipment.

$150-$200 a day to rend a projector.
$80 for a Flip Chart Stand.

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could do a good recording of my talk on the crazy mid-90s period in Commodore-related history. I'm starting to worry about forgetting some of these stories...

I may be able to help you out. I've got a good HD sony camcorder. How long is the talk and what time/day are you doing it?

Our hosts will have to decide that. Presumably "during the day on Saturday sometime" but beyond that, it's up to the schedule.

I was planning on being there Sat anyway, so let me know when your talk is, and i can drag the cam and tripod along.

I'll probably bring my Camera to take some snapshots.

For anyone that wanted to see Cartograph 1.2 I wanted to hook into a projector. Can we make sure that projector has a standard VGA port? :)

I'll try and dig out my video camera too just in case it's needed and anyone wants anything shot in HD. It's actually in Toronto already.. waiting for me to get there!

Any chance a SuperPET and a 8050/8250/orSFD1001 might be available? I would like to test a board at the show.

Also, I am on the road and just now realized I did not pack the camera tripod. Anyone have one available to borrow?

I know it's short notice...

Jim
