During the week, he’s known as Bill Winters – Emmy Award winning Director of Photography. But on the weekends when it’s time to party, the Commodore community knows him as AmigaBill, the world’s greatest ambassador for everything Amiga. He founded the Westchester Amiga User Group (WAUG) in 1988, which is still going strong nearly four decades later. He was co-founder of the Guru Meditation YouTube channel, entertaining and educating Amiga fans worldwide. In recent years, he’s devoted his time to hosting an online Amiga party every Sunday throughout the year on Twitch. For Amiga users, it’s the hottest virtual gathering on the planet, a celebration that AmigaBill and his viewers call “Sunday Funday”!
TPUG normally doesn’t meet up in July and August, but we’ve made an exception this year as we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to chat with AmigaBill. TPUG and AmigaBill have collaborated before, so we’re pleased to be catching up with him. We’re trying something new this month, hosting the meeting through Google Meet instead of Zoom. Join us for a fun summer evening over the Internet, where you can watch, listen, and interact with AmigaBill.
